Terry Lee Ayers, 77, of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his home. He was born on October 25, 1947 in Marked Tree, Arkansas, a son of John Russell Ayers and Rosie "Mag" (Mills) Ayers.
He is survived by his brother, Ralph (Hilda) Ayers of Cobleskill, New York; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, W.L. Ayers; and his sister, Barbara Sue Potter.
Terry was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Washington. He loved to make people smile, was a huge Elvis fan, and absolutely loved Santa. He especially loved spending time with his friends and family.
Terry's funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Washington. Pastor Lucky Meadows and Jack Melton will officiate. His visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm also on Thursday at his church. Burial will be in Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria.
