Robert Lee Davis Sr.

He was born on June 12, 1946 in Litchfield, IL to Harold and Lorraine (Duff) Davis, He married Pamela Smith on January 10, 1981 in East Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are his three children, Robert "Bobby" (Christie) Davis Jr. of Sherrard, IL, Angela (Craig McNamee) Davis Waupun, WI; and Richard "Ricky" Lee (Andrea) Davis of Creve Coeur; 13 grandchildren, Cassi, Kimmie, Kaylee, Robby, Kendra, McGwire, Desiree, Damien, Gavin, Logan, Dallas, Izzy, and Nick; 5 great-grandchildren, Danny, Leigha, Ethan, Levi, and Grayson; three siblings, Ed (Dorothy) Davis of Pekin, Gene (Sheri) Davis of The Villages, FL, and Gary (Julie) Fritzsche of Bloomington; and Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Davis, Lorraine and Richard Fritzsche and one daughter, Kimberly Teal.

Bob was a Skilled Trades Tinner at Caterpillar Inc. for over 51 years before retiring in 2015, served as an Instructor at I.C.C. at the HVAC Training Center from 2005 to present and was a member of the U.A.W. Local 974. He enjoyed shooting at Darnell's in Bloomington, fishing, Fantasy Football and enjoyed watching Illini Football and Basketball. He was an avid bowler in the Peoria and Pekin Area, raced Drag Cars in his youth, enjoyed antique tractors, going to Tractor Pulls, spending time with his grandkids and going to their ball games. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and a diehard FORD man.

A visitation will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10 to noon at Remmert Funeral Home with a graveside service at 3 pm at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend, IL.
