Michelle Lynn Hefferan

She was born November 1, 1973 in Peoria, IL to Jonnie and Christine (Coombs) Carter. She married Toby Cooper November 27, 1993. She later married Donald Hefferan on June 8, 2012.

She is survived by her husband, Don of Pekin; her father, Jonnie (Deborah) Carter; three daughters, Samantha Carter of Peoria, Ashley Carter of Bartonville, and Emily Cooper of Pekin; three siblings, Zachary Carter of Peoria, Brandon Pilgrim, and Breanne Carter both of Washington. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Brayden, Owen, Jax, Brylee, Stevie, Parker, and Emmy; Uncle, Stevie Coombs; Aunt, Connie (Mike) Richmond; many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved dogs, Peanut, Cashew, and Boxer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine and step father Lou McClaskey, and a grand-daughter, Bailey Smith.

Shelley worked as a District Manager for Sally's Beauty Supply and enjoyed being involved in new sales endeavors such as, doing hair and cosmetics, jewelry, perfumes and lips gloss. She loved her Jeep, Cheetah print, things that sparkled, shopping and collecting shoes. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her husband, who was her world. Shelley was strong in her faith and attended Faith Christian Center in East Peoria and Riverside Community Church in Peoria.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Chad Richmond will officiate.
