Mary E. McKenzie

She was born June 24, 1927 in Palmyra, IL to Arthur and Lydia Gaskel Wood Blevins. She married Donald E. McKenzie November 3, 1946 at the Free Methodist Church in East Peoria, IL.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, and two siblings; Marie Cox and Merl Blevins.

Surviving is a son Donald L. (Jan) McKenzie of Marquette Heights, IL, two granddaughters Donna (Lee) Noonan of Bloomington, IL and Tracy (Phil) Flowers of East Peoria, IL and five great grandchildren, a stepsister Fern Webster of East Peoria, IL, sister-in-law Cindy (Rick) Fagerburg of Florida.

She worked for A&P Company in Peoria, IL for 22 years, retiring in 1974, later working for Morton Park District Freedom Hall for 12 years.

She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of East Peoria, IL.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 2-4 PM at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A graveside service will be held at 9 AM, Tuesday September 2, 2014 at Fondulac Cemetery.
