Margaret R. Densberger

Margaret was born March 7, 1920, in Peoria, to Charles and Mary (Knapp) Beam. She married Melvin Densberger on November 20, 1940. He precedes her in death. She is also preceded by her Parents; one daughter, Sharon Kottabi; two brothers and two sisters.

Margaret is survived by two sons; Danny (Mary) Densberger of East Peoria, IL, Roger (Anita) Densberger of Apopka, FL, one son-in-law; Javad Kottabi, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Margaret worked for over twenty years in the billing department at Klaus Radio. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she proudly served as president, Past Caterpillar Retirees, East Peoria Women’s Club, Red Hat Society. She enjoyed walking in the Relay for Life Walk with her Daughter Sharon. Margaret’s favorite activity of all though, was playing Pinochle with a group of neighborhood ladies. This group formed in 1957, and has met monthly to play cards since then.

Services for Margaret will be held Friday May 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Rev. Steven Barch will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Fon Du Lac Cemetery.

Memorial donations in honor of Margaret may be made to The American Cancer Society.
