Georgia L. Murphy Fisher

Born in Golden Acres, IL, she was a daughter of the late George Homer and Mary Ellen Shreffler Murphy. She was owner/operator of Petals and Company in Greenville and a retired rural mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include sons, Randy Fisher (Gloria) of Kissimmee, FL and David Fisher (Mona) of Seguin, TX; daughter, Paula Hendricks (Buck) of Piedmont; siblings, Joyce Schupp of Chillicothe, IL, George Murphy of Peoria, IL, and Becky Sutter (Jim) of Kissimmee, FL; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Short and sister, Maudellen Steveson.

A visitation for Georgia will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Remmert Funeral Home, 521 E Washington St, East Peoria, Illinois 61611. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Remmert Funeral Home. Rev. John Plunkett will officiate.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
