He was born February 15, 1948 in Vandalia, IL to Paul and Marjorie (Pugh) Walker. They preceded him in death.
Survivors include one brother, John Walker of East Peoria, two sisters: Paulette Hart of Peoria, JoAnne Pope of Conroe, TX, five nieces: Gail (Paul) Montgomery of Grand Rapids, MI, Alison (Rodney) Knee of Peoria, Samantha (Scott) Toft, and Suzanne Walker-Cortez both of East Peoria, Amy (Billy) Collara of Montgomery, TX, and two nephews: Christopher (Kaori) Pope of Japan, Nick Pope of New York City.
Emil graduated from Beason High School in 1968 then earned a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. Emil then serviced in the United States Navy from 1970 through 1976.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service will be in Magassi Cemetery in Patoka, IL on his family plot. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
