She was born March 8, 1943 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Lowell and Enner (Pippin) Haskins. She married James Horton in Mississippi in 1957, he passed away August 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Bonnie, Lorene, James and Marcelle.
Donna is survived by her son, Michael (Marcia) Horton; foster-daughter, Shannon (Rob) Brinker; two granddaughters, Kayla (Aidan) Williamson and Ashley Bohn.
Donna had a special bond with her dog, Muffy, who was her constant companion and source of happiness.
She found great peace and fulfillment in her yard and garden, where her green thumb created a beautiful haven for all to enjoy.
A dedicated professional, Donna worked as a concierge at OSF until the age of 79. She formed enduring friendships with her coworkers, who became like a second family to her.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Fondulac Cemetery, East Peoria.
