Donna Adams

She was born on March 4, 1941 in Olney, IL to Cecil and Vera (Smith) Stump. She married Lester Adams on April 16, 1981 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2006. She was preceded in death by her father Cecil, mother Vera, and stepfather, Robert Halstead. Also preceding her in death were four siblings, Larry Stump, Jerry Stump, Lawanda Fromm, and Roberta Zimmerman.

Surviving are her three daughters; Pat (Gary) Burrows of Highland, IL., Lin (Mark) Stalnaker of Washington, IL., and Cheryl (Jeff Adams) Riggio of Bartonville. Also surviving are four grandsons, Nick (Brandy) Burrows, Chuck (Dusti) Burrows, Dane (Erin) Stalnaker, and Justin M. Rauch; ten great-grandchildren, Tanner, Justine, Aiden, Landen, Reid, Gavin, Easton, Elsie, McKenna, and Kellen; four siblings, Millie Bowman, David (Yvonne) Halstead, Cindy (Kevin) Halpin, and Ralph Halstead; and her beloved dog Holly.

Donna was a graduate of Washington Community High School class of 1959 and worked as a Unit Secretary at Proctor Hospital for over 20 years before retiring. She later worked as a Bus Monitor with the Tazewell/ Woodford County Head Start Program. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in East Peoria, and the Red Hat Society. Donna also enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
