He was born January 15, 1943 in Peoria to Caleb and Betty (Chapman) Harr. He married Susan Campbell on July 3, 1962 in Pekin. She survives along with one son, David Michael (Elaine) Harr of East Peoria, one daughter, Cheryl (David) Parks of East Peoria, two grandchildren: C.J. Volk of Creve Coeur, Haleigh Parks of East Peoria, three sisters: Liz Harr of East Peoria, Terry (Don) Combee of Florida, Deb Stanley of East Peoria, and one brother, Charlie (Nina) Harr of Creve Coeur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Joshua Volk, one granddaughter, Billie Jo Hall, and two brothers: Stanley and John Harr.
David was an Inspector for Caterpillar, Inc. for 31 years in East Peoria, Building KK retiring in 1996.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
