Ouida Virginia Woodson was born in Burlington, Iowa, on September 17, 1937 to Nadine and Gordon Woodson.
Later, the family moved to Macomb, Illinois, where Ouida graduated from High School.
In December, 2009, Ouida was diagnosed with dementia, but God had prepared her for the challenge. He had blessed her with a caring family that took care of her every need as she passed through the stages of dementia. She lost her communicative skills, but God had surrounded her with a family, care-takers, and friends who served her every need. She passed into the afterlife on May 31, 2022.
Ouida was preceded in death by her Husband, Mother, Father and her Step-father. She leaves to cherish her memories; her daughter, Kim Hudson; and her son, Marshall Hudson, Jr. 1 sister, 2 brothers and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She’s in heaven now, rejoicing with her husband, waiting on her daughter and son to join her.
A funeral service for Ouida will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Lansing Church of God in Christ, 5304 Wise Rd, Lansing, MI 48911.
Serving as pallbearers are Marshall Hudson, Jr., Garrett Schafer, Dave Ghasquiere, Ryan McCormick, Jeffrey Hudson and William Gordon.
