Monica Jeanne Baker, age 63, of Okemos, MI passed away March 24, 2023 at Henry Ford Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Monica was born on September 25, 1959 to Don Ryan and Phyllis Ratliff. Monica is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kevin Baker. Surviving are Monica's son, Josh Baker of Okemos, MI; and siblings Michael (Bev) Ryan of Regina, KY and Suzanne (John) Barber of Portland, MI. She has many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
Monica Graduated from Williamston High School in 1977. She later went on to work in the scoring department at MSU where she retired from. Monica often expressed how much she loved working at MSU. Monica met the love of her life, and they married on August 31, 1984. They were blessed with 31 years together. In addition, Monica had a passion for gardening; she took great pride in how her lawn looked. She loved to watch all the wildlife that would pass through her yard.
