Mary Louise Boyce died peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in East Lansing, Michigan. Mary was born to Carl & Grace (Kline) Sheldon in Durand, Michigan on February 5, 1929. She married Albert Arthur Boyce, Jr. on December 24, 1950 in Flint, Michigan. Mary enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family members, living in her home on Gull Lake and quilting. She took pride in teaching others the art of sewing and in her career as a nurse.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her son Albert Arthur (Diane) Boyce III, daughter-in-law Janet (Martin) Blanchard, grandchildren Adam (Larissa) Boyce, Christopher Boyce, Jonathon Boyce, Jaclyn (Adam) Suchecki, Katrina (Kevin) Manzullo, and J.D. Parker and great-grandchildren Kaiden, Trevin, Elliana, Skyler, Tristan and Sawyer Boyce, and Quinn Suchecki. She is also survived by her brother Carl Sheldon and sisters Joan Freathy and CaraLynn Taylor. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Al and her son James William Boyce. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, Michigan where visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A service for Mary will be held 11:00 am Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Williamston Free Methodist Church, 4400 N. Williamston Road, Williamston, Michigan with Pastor William Michell officiating. Interment will take place at Gunnisonville Cemetery, located on the SE corner of Wood and Clark Roads, DeWitt Township, Clinton Co., Michigan.
