Kenneth Corey passed away on February 26, 2014 at the age of 93. He was born on September 25, 1920 and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. His father was Dean Patterson Corey; his mother was Nelcie McMullen Corey; he had a brother Dean Corey. He studied at Cincinnati’s Withrow High School.
He retired as a skilled milling machine craftsman and operator at the Cincinnati Milacron. Helen, his loving wife of fifty years passed away in 1988. He moved to East Lansing in 2006 to be near his family. He was a resident of The Marquette senior living community. During his last weeks, he took comfort from the caring people at the Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing.
He is survived by his only son Kenneth Edward Corey, his daughter-in-law Marie Joann Corey, grandson Jeffrey Allen Corey, granddaughter Jennifer Marie Mann and her family of Sacramento, California including her husband Paul M. Mann and great granddaughter Madeline Regina Mann.
He was a devoted radio amateur; his call letters were W8LBQ. He was an avid golfer. He was a successful obedience-dog competitor and trainer. Throughout his life he took pleasure in singing. He placed priority and investment in education.

Interment will take place at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. At his request, there will be no memorial service.
