I worked with Keith for many years and admired his integrity and calm demeanor. He was smart and easy to work with. He didn’t cut corners and our business discussions were efficient and effective. He was an innovator and respected for his attention to detail and quality.  I enjoyed our talks with him and his family and will miss him.  He was a good honest man.

Bob, Barb & Brian (Duff) and families, I'm sorry to hear of Uncle Keith's passing.  My memories go back 60+ years to what seems like a different lifetime.  I remember Uncle Keith in t-shirts & flannel shirts; a quiet self-assured family man, with a distinctive smile and a solid sense of humor.  To say he was hardworking is an understatement, he exemplified the term and was resolute in his craft.  May his legacy live on.  Rest easy Uncle Keith.  

The Schroeder Family were very good friends of my family during our "growing up" years of the 1960's and 1970's.  I always looked forward to seeing you, and I have many fond memories  of the time we spent with all of you.  I vividly remember your house in Okemos, probably BEFORE Meijers was built down the street.  Bob was a better drummer than Ringo Starr, Barb was the cutest girl I have ever seen in my life, and "Duff" was always my great buddy (drinking Coke, eating potato chips, and watching "Mannix").  I know you all regretted that you had to live in Okemos, and you all yearned for the day that you could upgrade to Haslett.  And of course, I've got to remember "Mitty", your fearsome attack dog, and her "sock" that she loved to play "tug of war" with. 
 "Keith and Lois" were always wonderful to me and my parents , and I loved being around both of them.   My Dad worked with, and for Keith, and we always had the upmost respect for him, and he was a wonderful man, and a great friend.

Keith will be missed. He was a great human being, father, grandfather, leader, entrepreneur, innovator and friend. He possessed such a calm, quiet wisdom that you just had to listen and learn. Well respected by all. He will be missed. Impacted so many in a powerful and meaningful way. Loved him as a father and friend. RIP

My condolences to all the family members. Keith was a good man with a big heart. His calm steady leadership was inspiring to be around. Working at Schroeder Homes in the nineties were transformative years for me as a young man. I think back on it frequently and am sure it had much to do with shaping the man I am today.
 Keith didn’t have to take the time he did with me, or guide me in the ways that he did , but he just did because that’s who he was. 
It was a privilege to work for him and I am forever appreciative for the things he instilled in me.

Our sincere condolences go out to the Schroeder family. Working with Keith 35+ years on multiple developments was a pleasure. He was a professional, a leader in his field, and a gentleman. His commitment to his craft was exemplary and the work still stands. We will certainly miss having that sort of measure of excellence in our community. 

What a kind and gentle person to know and to do business with for over 40 years.  A leader in the building business, and a trailblazer in energy efficiency.  He did things on my build job in 1984 that were groundbreaking.  Keith supported his Okemos community.  His Parade Homes back in the 80's and 90’s were the most fun to tour.  He will truly be missed.  My best to the family at this difficult time.  Remember, the life of one we love is never lost- its influence goes on through all of the lives it has ever touched.

My heart goes out to The Schroeder family in its entirety and friends during this very difficult time.  Keith will be missed by all the people that knew him.  He was such a leader in The Greater Lansing Community and left his mark in home building and truly was a pioneer in his industry.   Keith, was a visionary and way ahead of his time with energy efficiency, helping set the ground work for future generations of builders.  Keith’s kind heart and gentle ways, made him unforgettable.
