Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Leo and Pat Kesteloot, Judi was a loving wife and sister, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother.
Judi married Neil Austin on December 19, 1964, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. She pursued her passion for caring for others by earning her nursing degree from Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a dedicated registered nurse.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Judi was an avid painter and seamstress who enjoyed quilting and needlework. She approached life with a spirit that was loving, nurturing, determined, and forgiving, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Judi is survived by her beloved husband, Neil Austin of East Lansing; her daughter, Sarah (Tom) Blanck; her son, Matthew (Shauna) Austin; grandchildren, Benjamin Blanck, Gregory (Hannah) Blanck, Maxwell Austin, and Sophia Austin; great-grandson, Samuel Blanck; and her brother, Emory (Winnie) Kesteloot. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Judi will be remembered for her warmth and compassion, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A visitation for Judi will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a special service beginning at 7:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel, 1730 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 11:30 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at St. Thomas Aquinas, 915 Alton Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judi's memory may be made to St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center, 3115 Lawndale Ave., Flint, MI 48504.
