Harry Kenneth Stevens, age 92 of Chelsea, MI formerly of Okemos, MI passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. He was born September 25, 1929 in Detroit, MI the son of Clarence and Johnnie (Denny) Stevens.
Harry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from Wayne State University and earned his PhD degree from Michigan State University. He was an avid sailor and loved his time on the water. Harry taught Natural Science at MSU. He was a devoted teacher and loved sharing his knowledge. He will be remembered for his soft spoken nature, his sense of humor and the easy way he made friends with everyone. Family was dear to his heart and he was a great husband, father and grandfather. Harry and Marjorie enjoyed spending their winters in Florida together.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Stevens; son, Mark (Noelle) Stevens; grandchildren, Anne Stevens and Connor Stevens. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David and his wife Patti Stevens.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
