Anu, So sorry to hear of the loss of your father.  I'm amazed at his career. Sorry I never was able to meet him.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  Losing  a loved one is never easy .  Sorry I wasn't able to attend Gian's celebration of life.  He was a good friend and a gentle person, always with a smile on his face.  In Greek we say "Zoe se mas" which translates to "Long life to you all"   I will miss him.

Gian was a great man and friend. I think about the fun times we had in the construction office at MDOT. We had such a great group of people. Shanta and Family,
We were so sorry to hear that Gian passed away.  He will be greatly missed by so many.  Friends we have made along the way are in our hearts forever.  It was a great privilege for me to have worked with Gian and to have been able to make some really great memories with him.  He truly was a man of integrity.  We are thankful that our families have known one another over the years and that one day we will see Gian again.

Dear Taneja Family - Gian was a wonderful person and throughout my time in MDOT's HR Office we had a lot of interactions. He was always so sweet, kind, and understanding.  He loved to talk about his family and would give me all the great updates. Anu and Seema, I think he had the most fun when both of you were working at MDOT...he just had a huge smile knowing you were there. Hugs, thoughts, and prayers are being sent to you all.

Gian was a very kind hearted and very good man. I am blessed to have known Gian for 30 yrs. My heartfelt condolences to Shantaben and family. May Lord Almighty allow departed soul to Rest In Peace and give strength to his family to bear this loss. 

My mamaji(uncle) was the most kind hearted and nice person of all the people I know till now.   Though we couldn't meet for a long long time but still we could feel his love, through phone calls and emails, before he got this disease.   Last year I lost my dad, this year in March, I lost my Ram mamaji(younger brother of Gian uncle) and now him.  
It's so hard for all of us, that we couldn't be together in these tough times.
We all love our family in US so much.
I am sure my mamaji( uncle)  is happy and at peace, wherever he is now!

My deepest condolences to Gian's family.  I have been acquainted with Gian because I have worked for two companies  that perform MDOT work.   Gian has been a force in our industry for many years.  His helpful and upbeat approach to any issue has been a great example for so many of us in the industry.  He always attacked every problem with an emphasis on collaboration.  Every time we talked he expressed great pride regarding his children.   He is missed by so many of us.

I was honored to work with Taneja for only a short time before he retired from MDOT.  His kind smile and kind words were something I enjoyed about him.   May he rest in peace.  My condolences to his family.   

Gian was a kind, warm-hearted person who was dedicated to his work at MDOT.  Whenever I would see him, whether in the hallway or local store, he would greet me with a smile that you knew was genuine.  When I found out that Anu was his daughter, I knew that Gian had passed along a gem to MDOT.  My condolences go out to Anu and the Taneja family.  Thank for for sharing your father/husband with us. Gian was a respectful and well liked individual at MDOT. He was always available to listen and solve situations that were presented to him. As a fellow MTU Civil Engineer to another, Gian will be missed by his freinds and family.

Gian was so sweet and kind.   He was very happy to see his DBE contractors every year at the annual DBE Conference.  He always took extra time to talk with me about DBE business, family, our business and current events.  I was so happy to see Gian at MDOT events.  Gian had the greatest smile.  Gian will be missed.  Wishing his family comfort and healing.  May your hearts be filled with beautiful memories of Gian. 

My condolences and sympathies in the passing of Gian. He was a Gentleman and very kind soul. I worked with him for many years on the DBE Committee. He loved his family and spoke often of how wonderful they are. Godspeed my friend.

I worked with Gian for decades. He was truly a nice, kind, gentle person. I feel fortunate to have known him . He definitely made my work experience better.

Gian always had a smile to share along with kindness. He was a dear sweet coworker & he leaves a void in our weary world.

Prayers to the Taneja family for comfort of happy memories while you grieve this deep loss.  Gian's passing so early in life is heartbreaking.  He was one of the most wonderful people on this earth.  Gian was witty, selfless, generous, caring, honest, and loved his life and all the people he knew.  I am honored and blessed to have been in his circle of known people.  May you rest in peace my dear friend.

There is an adage that "God gave us two ears and one mouth to use in that proportion". Gian lived by it. He often helped without being asked, and he never spoke about his role in resolving problems, especially for the smaller firms.

A thorough gentleman, and a thoroughly gentle man, whom we will miss. We don't get to see too many folks in his mold! I am blessed to have known Gian

I've known Gian for a long time, 43 years.  He was a great co-worker and friend for me at MDOT, in fact he was part of our team working with DBEs, conferences and workshops.  Gian was already missed when he retired, but he called me regularly for updates.  Our last calls I knew something had changed with my friend.  I'm glad I like so many of you have great reflections of the past, conversations, time and DBE journeys with Gian.  I will miss him at the conferences and his visits to our office on Fort Street in Detroit.  Continue your journey Gian my friend, you are missed and loved.
