Doris Irene Cherry

Born March 18, 1928 in Lansing, Michigan, passed away November 6, 2011 at the age of 83. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Orvin Cherry. She is survived by her daughters, Gaylynn Rorabaugh, Faye Hardin and Melinda (Michael) Downey; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Daniher, Matthew (Theresa) Rorabaugh, Greta (Tony) Sabo, Christopher Downey, Sarah Payok and Emily Downey; and 6 great grandchildren. Doris enjoyed horseback riding and traveling with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church, 1001 Chester Rd., Lansing, MI on Friday, November 11, 2011 at noon with the Rev. Wes Emerson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made at Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906 or the American Cancer Society, 3100 West Rd., Bldg B., Ste. 110, East Lansing, MI 48823 in memory of Doris.
