David will be remembered for his sense of humor, smile, soft hands and kind soul. He had a positive impact in the life of anyone who met him. He had the gift of teaching others about life and love. David enjoyed everything to do with Batman, Incredible Hulk and Jimmy Buffet. He also loved to spend time with his family and many friends, listening to music, dancing and watching movies. David attended Beekman Center and Heartwood, ISD where he graduated in 1990. He also worked at McDonald's and Wendy's in Okemos, Michigan. David was a member of KCS Angels and attended Transitions North Day Program. He was also a medal winner in the Special Olympics.
David is survived by his siblings, Beth Gagnier, Cindy (Dave) Valkanoff and Charles (Renee) Gagnier; nieces & nephews, Max and Olivia Daust; Austin, Alexis and Morgan Valkanoff also Paul and Jack Gagnier; special friends, Jeff Erickson and Betsy Chapman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend, Richard Smith.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Lansing Chapel with visiting one hour prior to the Service at the Funeral Home.
