Brendan passed away at age 59 on Saturday, August 13 in Pittsburgh, PA. Brendan was born in Lansing, MI on June 23, 1963 to Ben and Janet O’Brien. He attended Haslett High School and Lansing Community College. He worked at Jackson National Life as a Customer Service Representative since 2001. Brendan lived in East Lansing, MI for 28 years.
Brendan was a kind, loving, supportive, and humorous husband and father. Brendan married his high school sweetheart, Beth, in 1985. The pair loved spending time outdoors together and going on hiking and biking adventures. Brendan enjoyed being around his family, and loved watching Michigan State football and basketball games. He would passionately discuss every game with friends and family.
Brendan is survived by his wife Beth O’Brien, his sons Kyle O’Brien and Grady O’Brien (Sam Majeske), and his siblings Tom O’Brien (Beth O’Brien), Pat O’Brien, Kate O’Brien (Mike Pettorini), and Christy Floriani (Brian Floriani). Brendan had many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews he loved.

Visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes East Chapel. 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, on Tuesday, August 23rd from 4:00 to 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held at Haslett Community Church on Wednesday, August 24th at 11:30am, with visitation at the church the hour prior.
