William J. Hannon,

William J. Hannon, Sr., 70, of East Hartford, husband of the late Raquel (Petrella) Hannon, passed away on Thursday (November 10, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford, a son of the late Michael and Bernadette (Burns) Hannon, he had resided in East Hartford for many years. He was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1953. He was employed for over 35 years by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford where he retired as a foreman. He was a member of the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club and the Knights of Columbus, Council #3901, East Hartford. He was an avid sports fan, especially following his Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics teams. Mr. Hannon is survived by his son, William J. Hannon, Jr., and his wife, Paula, of East Hartford; his daughter, Patricia Piscattano of South Glastonbury; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and John Mulcahey of Glastonbury, Maureen and William Flanagan of Tucson, AZ, Bernadette and Kevin Kasunic of Olney, MD; three grandchildren, Michelle Hannon and Christina Hannon both of East Hartford, Daniel Piscattano of South Glastonbury; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 15, at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
