Michael Fiereck 64, beloved husband to Laraine (Branciforte) Fiereck and longtime resident of Glastonbury passed away on Friday, (June 4th 2010) at Harford Hospital. He was born April 4, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY son of Max A. and Maria G. Fiereck. He proudly served his Country in the United Sates Coast Guard from 1967 until 1971. He then graduated from Central Connecticut University. Michael was very intelligent and hardworking man owning and operating L&M Builders which began in 1987. He had numerous hobbies including his model train collection, Indian Guides and coaching soccer for his sons when they were younger.
He is survived by his wife Laraine, two sons David Fiereck and his wife Jennifer, and Steven Fiereck and his wife Katie, all of Manchester, his cherished grand daughter Mia Fiereck, his mother in law Filomena "Minnie" Branciforte, a sister Martha Anderson of Marlborough, his brother in law James Branciforte and his wife Maureen of Cheshire, two nieces Chaela Branciforte and Heidi Just, and two nephews Irving and Ernie Anderson. Along with both his parents he was predeceased by his father-in- law Carmelo Branciforte.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday June 8th, at 9 a.m. from the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpke., Glastonbury followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in The Church of St. Dunstan, 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury, with Rev. George M. Couturier officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Calling hours will be on Monday June 7th from 4:30 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
