Melanie Hamm-Ferry

Melanie was born March 2nd 1982 in Manchester, CT where she resided for most of her life. She is the daughter of Peter and Meri Hamm (Mercer).

Melanie attended Manchester High School and spent most of her life in Manchester where she met and fell in love with Keith Ferry. The two married in a Las Vegas ceremony attended by all 7 of Melanie’s siblings. Melanie and Keith enjoyed a 14-year marriage where she was revered as Step-Mother to their children Kyle and KJ Ferry.

Melanie is remembered as someone who loved the outdoors, in particular gardening, camping, the beach and outdoor movie nights. She loved her friends and family and was a welcoming and inclusive person. Melanie’s easy-going spirit coupled with her sense of humor made her a pleasure to be around. She was caring and selfless and will be missed immensely.

Remaining to cherish Melanie’s memory are spouse, Keith and their two children Kyle and KJ, Melanie’s siblings Peter, Abby, Mandy, Terry, Philip, Melissa and Jennifer as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends who she considered family.

Preceding Melanie in death are parents Peter and Meri Hamm whom Melanie had a special relationship with. As the youngest of 8 children, it is impossible to describe the love Peter and Meri had for Melanie.

Memorial donations in Melanie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (http://act.alz.org/donate) 200 Executive Blvd S #4b, Southington, CT 06489, an organization near and dear to Melanie and her family.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 18th from 1pm to 4pm at D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St. East Hartford, CT.
