Born in Floridia Sicily on March 25, 1960, she came to the United States in 1970 and settled with her family in Hartford. She graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1977, and last year became a homeowner in Enfield. She was employed by Universal Ceramic Tile and Marble where she was a top seller and helped numerous families design their homes. Maria was very proud of her family and enjoyed reading, various crafting hobbies, and spending time at the beach. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed her family and friends most.
She is survived by her parents Francesco and Iolanda Bazzano, her two daughters, Sabrina Wentworth and her husband Jason, Vanessa Coan and her husband Caleb, her son Tyler Taranto, her grandchildren Olivia and Curtiss Wentworth. She is also survived by her sisters, Josephine Romano and her husband Salvatore, Carmela Buccheri and her husband Nino, her brothers, Claudio Bazzano and his wife Diana, Santo Bazzano, her sister, Patricia Paoletti and her lifelong friend Krystyna Kalisz. Maria will also forever be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Calling hours are from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 17th, a celebration service will be held immediately after. Memorials in Maria’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
