Margaret Amelia Russell

Margaret A. (Moseley) Russell, 89, of East Hartford, CT died Monday, July 9, 2018 at Hartford Hospital after a short illness. Born in Hartford, CT in 1929, the daughter of the late Albert E. and the late Ernestine Britney Moseley, the family later moved to Farmington, Unionville and Berlin. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank G. Russell, Jr.

Besides her husband she is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Michael Giberson of South Windsor, CT; her son Frank Russell, III of Vernon, CT; her son and daughter-in-law Alan and Angela Russell of Tewksbury, MA; her daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Jonathan Henderson of Hyde Park, VT; her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Marie Russell of East Windsor, CT and her son Robert Russell of Ellington, CT. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Albert, Jr., Richard and John Moseley and sister Ernestine Faprie. Peggy enjoyed caring for her family and hosting many joyous holidays at her home and at the family cottage on Columbia Lake. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Hartford, CT for 70 years.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 – 11 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 142 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, CT. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church followed by a burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Remembrance Fund of Memorial Baptist Church, 142 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, CT 06114. Services have been entrusted to D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, CT.
