Jose Orlando Diaz Nieves, 54, husband of Maria Santos passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was born March 7, 1970 in Puerto Rico a son of Mercedes Nieves and the late Deogracio Diaz. He worked as a truck driver for Paramount Construction until his passing. Jose was a loving and devoted husband, father, son and friend that will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife Maria and mother, Mercedes he is survived by a daughter; Marielys Resto, two sons; Jose Carlos and Jesus Orlando Diaz, two grandsons; Ivan Colon and Gabriel Hernandez 2 sisters; Zenaida Diaz of E. Windsor, and Nydia Diaz of Puerto Rico, a brother; Carlos Diaz of Puerto Rico as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11am-3pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Burial will be in Puerto Rico.
