Just when we found one another after all these years my Friend....

Just wanted to say my Deep Sympathy to Aunt Ginny and Joanne's family...this is a very difficult time for you all.My last memory of Joanne was when she lovingly came to Plainview Long Island for my Mom's wake with Aunt Ginny(my Godmother)My Mom was her Aunt Mary(Hank)was her brother.I was really touched by that.Joanne was my cousin...God Rest her Soul++++Love and Prayers Connie

Prayers for everyone , Joanne was a beautiful person , filled with strength, happiness and love, she was giving and always put a smile on ones face she was a true friend to many people. I wish I could share a memory but there are too many amazing ones to pick from.  I can only say that the best birthday I ever had was with you and your Mom and Nancy Bearse when you took me on a mystery ride and we wound up on a ferry to Long Island.   Oh wait...how can I forget the mint juleps?  Or the Murder Mysteries or tea parties or Boston for the Star Trek convention with Elaine?  No, too many.  I love you.  The Night sky is brighter now with you shining up there.  Til we meet again

I'll always remember Jo's smile and laughter over the years I worked with her, and beyond.  May she rest in peace.  Your family is in my prayers and thoughts at this time.


Your smile and laughter is SO missed at work. I'll remember your amazement at what I concocted for lunch, my artwork (thanks for spurring me on), your solar animals still happily move under your lamp on your desk (albeit a little bit less joyful. With Aunt Ginny as my Godmother, Joanne and my brother Rickey engaged at 6, living across the street and seeing the family daily the first 10 years of my life, and the love shared between the families, how could I not think of Joanne as family?  It was a blessing to have close contact the past few years, even though through media.  My heart and prayers go out to all.  May she rest in peace.

I grew up living across the street from the Varcas and always thought Joanne and my brother Rick were going to get married.  He brother Henry and I were close as kids, even sharing beer on the street curb at 4 and 5.

While my family moved away when I was 5, my mom and her mom remained constant friends thru the years.   It has only been in recent years thru Facebook that my life and that of Joannes touched once again.

Joanne was a wonderful, friendly person, full of life and love.    I will remember her with fondness.

Joanne was one of my daughter Lisa's best friends. She used to babysit Lisa's children Rachel and Leigh. She would crack me up when she would refer to herself as "a forty-two toddler" size wise. My deepest sympathies, Lisa's mother, Mary Jane. 

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our beautiful cousin, Joanne. She was a lovely person in every way, vibrant, joyful and generous. She will be greatly missed. Our hearts and prayers are with her, our Aunt Virginia, her children and sisters. We know she is with the angels and that we will see her again.

JoJo I will miss you and think of you daily. I was so blessed to have worked with you so long and be your friend.  Your chair and your presence could never be filled. I love you my dear friend. You hold a special place in my heart. My condolences  to the family. 

So sorry to hear Joanne has passed away.  Her mega smile will be the memory I shall keep.  Virginia and Janet many hugs go out to you, wish I could attend the service to give those in person.  My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

I worked with Joanne at century color, and she was a special lady, loads of fun, when her and her mom were together you could always count on laughter being part of the conversation.
