Donna Marie DeFelice, born on December 19, 1957 to Anthony and Mary DeFelice, passed away peacefully at her Glastonbury home on Thursday, June 28th. She is predeceased by her father, Anthony and her brother Mickey. Donna is survived by her Mom, Mary, her brother, Tony, her sister-in-law, Kathy, and her two nephews, Tony Jr. and Tommy. She is also survived by her dear lifelong friend, Donna Kaeser, and her husband, Jimi, Linda Linda, Pete Krause, Kathryn Meek, and many others. Donna had a Masters Degree, was a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Manchester Memorial and Rockville General Hospitals. She had a great work ethic, preparing patients for surgery and working ten and one half hour shifts on a daily basis. She loved her work which she was great at, and was very dedicated to her career. Travel was also a passion. Mexico and warm beaches were on the top of her list, but she also fell in love with the Bitterroot Valley in Montana. She recently traveled to Italy and was scheduled to go to Ireland. Donna liked speed, attended a racing school, and loved driving her black Porsche. Of late, due to her driveway, she became enamored with her Subaru. The Green Bay Packers were her favorite, and Sunday meant food, football, and preparing fish and lots of vegetables to be consumed during the week for lunch. She picked I’ll Have Another in the Kentucky Derby. Donna loved life. She was the life of the party, but worked equally as hard. She was kind, caring and giving. Animals were her first love and her four kitties were really spoiled. Mr. Pibb, Tuddie, Molly and Rosie will miss their Mommy as will her adopted black lab, Murphy. She would be pleased to know the kitties have already been relocated to a wonderful home. Boating and the water made her world. She was in her glory on Long Island Sound, at Block Island, and the many other ports of call throughout the world she visited. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. Everyone who knew Donna Marie loved her, and will deeply miss her. Calling hours are at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT from 5 to 8 on Thursday July 5th. There will be a service to honor her life at the funeral home at 10 am on July 6th.
