Daniel “Fox” Theriault of East Hartford died peacefully at his home Sunday, February 17, 2013 after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). Daniel was born April 5, 1946 in Van Buren, ME. After graduating high school in Van Buren, Daniel moved to Connecticut where he was a hardworking man who spent his career in Meat Cutting, Seafood Merchandising and management working for Waldbaum’s Food Mart for over 30 years and then retiring from Big Y Supermarket in Tolland CT. He is predeceased by his parents, Roland and Isabelle Theriault of Van Buren, Me as well as by his Father-in-Law, Malcolm Leonard of Grand Isle, ME. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lorraine (Leonard) Theriault of East Hartford, his daughter Danielle and her husband Patrick Daley of Glastonbury, his daughter Nicole Theriault of Newington, His grandson, pride and joy as well as best buddy, Tristan Theriault of Newington; His mother-in law, Azilda Leonard of Madawaska, ME; his brother, Vern and his wife Dottie of Tavares, FL; his sister, Betty and husband Bill Albrecht of Bangor, ME and brother Wayne and wife Lou Ann Theriault of Colorado Springs, CO as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury. Friends and family are invited to gather Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am also at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
