Angele C. Adams, 89, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on March 22, 2017. She resided in East Hartford for 52 years before moving to South Windsor for the last 4 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Normand Adams. Angele was born on July 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Edouard and Hedwidge Choiniere.
Angele was employed by Coca Cola for 15 years where she was fondly known as Mom and she was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, memere and friend.
Angele enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering to teach many crafts like knitting and crocheting, making puzzles and gardening.
Angele will be dearly missed by her family; son Richard Adams of South Windsor, son Robert Adams of East Hartford, daughter Theresa Barahman of South Windsor, daughter Patricia Hettrick and her husband David of Middlefield, CT., sisters; Irene Miller, Rita Boyer, Louise Field, brothers; Norman, Marcel, Raymond Choiniere, grandchildren; Meagan and Dawson Hettrick, Andrew, Aric and Austin Adams, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Angele is predeceased by her sisters; Agnes Janelle and Lucy Doiron, brothers; Alfred and Gerard Choiniere.
Friends and family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 2-4:30pm at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108.
Funeral services will begin Monday, March 27 at 9:00am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford CT 06108.
