Aunt Val,

Life won't be the same without you.  I will miss seeing you at family outings, your giggle and sense of humor.

Our hearts are filled with sadness but we take comfort knowing that we will one day meet again.

Rest in peace and thank you for all the wonderful memories you have brought to our family.

My dear sister Val:

I have such a heavy heart right now.  I know I will never hear your voice or giggle. You have such a great sense of humor. You also have a kind,giving, and loving spirit about you.

I remember when Mom brought you home from the hospital. Such a beautiful baby with those dimples. I knew you would grow up to be a very special person and I was right.

I remember when we took long walks listening to Yankee baseball games on the radio.  I remember the day you and Art came over because you found a Bobby Ricchardson baseball card At a flea market and wanted me to have it.  I still treasure that card.  I'm happy you were my sister.  I always loved you; and always looked up,to you.  I will always think of your wisdom: you said " there are good people out there we just have to find them".  

Rest in peace now. My life wil never be the same without you and I will keep you in my heart forever.   Love forever your big sister Andrea

To my beautiful, amazing sister. My heart is so heavy and hurting right now, knowing I will never see your face or hear your giggle, your laugh again, at least on earth. I miss you so much, it actually hurts to breathe. I still can't believe you are gone. I talked to you everyday. And even when you were so sick from a chemo day, or in pain, you still asked how everyone was, especially Sharon. Sisters, friends. I still credit you with my becoming a nurse. I will never forget the day you called me and told me you registered us for an upcoming nursing exam and I owed you $25...I was in shock as we hadn't talked about our dream for a long time. We took the exam, passed and we shared our love of nursing together. We would call and complain about our supervisors, or our schedule, but we loved our profession. I am the only left handed one of the family left, strange that crossed my mind. You accepted your illness, never asking "why me". You never complained about feeling sick, or in pain. You would only admit it if we asked. You talked about death sometimes, but I never sensed fear in your voice. You were positive, even in ICU, that you would walk out of there, and if anyone could do it, I knew you would be the one. You fought cancer, but it didn't beat you, because it never took away your spirit, your bravery, your fight, and your love of life and everyone close to you. I was with you when you transitioned into your next life, and I know you will be there for me when I transition into mine. You and Vanessa were the epitome of bravery and dying with dignity. I only hope if one day I have to battle a serious illness, I can do so with the same strength you and Vanessa had. You told me you started saying " be good" instead of goodbye, because that was what Vanessa always said. So, as she passed the torch to you, you are passing it on to me. Say "hi" to grandma, grandpa, Vanessa, and Julie for me. I will never forget you, I will always love and miss you. Sister's by chance, friends by choice.

My heart breaks for Val's husband, children, grandchildren and family.  I met her last year at CCS and kept in contact through FB.  What a strong woman; such courage; such love that she shared with all.  I never knew her to complain, just positive feeling.  God gained another beautiful Angel.  May you rest in peace, Beautiful Lady.  You are loved.  You will be missed.

I'll always cherish the memories with my beautiful mother in law. She was a lovely person inside and out. I'm so blessed I got to be a part of her life these past 12 years. I love you Mom and I will miss you alot.

Our hearts are saddened by your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for the loss of such a Wonderful lady. A great wife, mother and grandmother.   I know she is in a better place and is not suffering anymore, but I also know she will be missed so much.  She fought a long hard battle.

I met Val when my mom was a resident at Gates.  I will always remember the wonderful care you helped give her.  We had some great conversations! Rest in peace, my friend.  Condolences to Val's family.

Rest peacefully Val.  Your courage, strength, friendship, leadership & love are a legacy to be proud of.  Thank you for taking me under your wing  & helping me soar.  Fly high my friend, you are missed.

I will forever be grateful for the privilege of knowing Val.  She brightened my days with her impish smile and hilarious posts on Facebook.  She also offered comfort and hope because she understood so well.  My sincerest sympathies to her family.  So long friend.
