She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years William Strouse, her sister Janice McLamb, and her brother Richard McDuffie.
Left to cherish Ruby’s memory are her nieces Joella Johnson (Brian Lee) of Erwin, NC, and Julie Bradbury (Mark) of Australia, her brother-in-law Russell McLamb, her 2 great nephews Nick Bradbury and Chris Bradbury.
Ruby loved to travel, joining her husband, a Lieutenant Colonel, on his various military assignments. She was also an active member of her community, belonging to a book club for many years, as well as a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Fayetteville, where she was very involved. After age 50, Ruby decided to get her college degree, and earned her Bachelor’s at Methodist University, where she was also part of the Endowment Society and the Alumni Board.
There is no service scheduled at this time for Ruby Louise Strouse.
