He was born December 10, 1940 in Sampson County the son of the late Ammie and Anas Stone of Dunn. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Willa Cain Stone; and sisters, Beth Hawley of Dunn, NC and Alice Kirtley of Keystone Heights, FL.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cynthia Stone Acker and husband Jim of Claremont, NC, granddaughter, Ashley Marlow and husband Teren and their children, Gavin, Brendan and Wilder of Rosman, NC; son, Malcom Warren Stone, Jr. and wife Katina and grandson Tyler James of Fuquay Varina, NC; daughter, Rhonda Stone Stallings and husband Robert, grandsons, Robert James and Randy Warren of Clayton, NC; nephews Ricky Hawley of Dunn and Jeff Kirtley of Florida; niece, Debby Chiarella of Dunn, NC; and two loving and special caregivers, Elizabeth Webb and Michelle Snyder.
A graveside service will be held 10 AM Friday, May 31, 2019 at Williford Cemetery, Hwy 421, Plain View, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Plain View Fire Rescue Ladies Auxiliary, 5041 Plain View Hwy, Dunn NC 28334.
