Helen F. Bennett

Helen Faircloth Bennett, age 85, of Dunn went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

She was born September 15, 1933 in Erwin, North Carolina the daughter of the late Will Faircloth and Flonnie Ryals Faircloth. Also preceding her in death are her beloved husband, Bobby Earl Bennett Sr.; daughter, Helen Gail Bennett; brother, Gene Faircloth; and sister, Virginia Collier.

Helen was employed by Carolina Telephone and Telegraph and retired after 40 years as an operator and office staff. She was a charter member of Central Baptist Church and a woman of deep faith in the Lord. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music, watching westerns, loved to go out to eat and shop, but most of all she was devoted to her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bobby E. Bennett Jr. and wife Dawn of Dunn; daughter, Vicky B. Batson and husband David of Dunn, NC; grandchildren, Nikki B. Cook and husband Mike of Erwin, NC, Brandon Batson and Nathan Batson and Fiancé Deanna McLamb both of Dunn, NC; great grandchildren, Gabe Denno and Leo King; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Monday, January 28, 2019 at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Central Baptist Church, 6050 Plain View Hwy Dunn, North Carolina 28334 with Pastor Tom Wagner Officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, NC
