Gary Michael (Mike) McLeod, age 68 of Godwin Dr., Erwin died on Thursday, August 19, 2020 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.

Mike was born in Harnett County on January 21, 1952 the son of the late Roger Hamilton McLeod and Audrey Mae McLeod and is preceded in death by a brother Martin McLeod.

Mike was a graduate of Erwin High School, the class of 1971, he married his high school sweetheart after graduation and has been married to her for 49 years. Mike was a family man putting his wife at the center of his life. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He worked for Champion Home Builders in Lillington but was a mechanic and specialized in motorcycle repairs. He loved the beach and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by: His wife of 49 years: Juanita C. McLeod of the home.

Son: Gary M. McLeod, Jr. & (Fiancee’) Tiffany Harvell of Lillington, NC

Daughter: Michelle Pleasant & (Fiance’) Dave Charmel of Dunn, NC

Brothers: Steve McLeod & (wife) Brenda of Calabash, NC and Doug McLeod & (wife) Joyce of Charlotte, NC

Grandchildren: Dillon Pleasant, Kaylee McCorquodale, Scott McLeod, Brianna McLeod, Brooklyn McLeod, Carrington McLeod, Kailey Harvell & Grayden Barefoot.

Great Grandchildren: Arya Pleasant, Jensen Pleasant & Valerie Skipper
