He lived his life in service to God through loving his family, his church family, and many, many friends. He loved his Farmall tractor, spending time in his garden, and sharing his harvest. Frankie was quiet but always had a smile to share, a story to tell, or a joke to offer. He was a skilled butcher by trade, enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with others while working at Martin’s Meat Abattoir, Martin Pork Products, then at his final and favorite workplace Lee’s Fresh Market of Benson. When he had time to get away, he frequented his favorite Surf City destination, Sea View fishing pier or visiting Maggie Valley in the fall to see the colors of the trees.
Frankie was known for cooking for his church; his barbecue and fried potatoes were a favorite of many in his community. Frankie was simple to please, humble in every way, and always a light to those around him. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Calypso and Reginald Stewart and brothers R.J. Stewart, James Stewart, Howard "Tint" Stewart, and Jeff Stewart. Frankie left a legacy of service and love, putting everyone’s needs and comfort before his own. His girls will always love and cherish him.
