Mike was born on February 15th, 1955, in Harnett County, to the late Handy and Virginia Groves.
Mike worked as a tow-truck driver at Kelly Springfield for 25 years. He was a former chairman for Harnett County Coharie Indian Association, and he also served on the North Carolina Coharie Intra-Tribal Council, Inc for many years. David also served on the Disability Rights Board. Mike loved and was loved by his family, friends, and especially his fur-baby, Brownie Groves.
Mike is survived by his spouse, Betsy Groves, sons, Shawn Groves(Michelle) and David Groves, and daughter, Ashley Groves, all of Dunn. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, June 5th at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 12pm, noon, Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Harnett Devotional Gardens.
