Barbara "Barb" Jean Oleski

She was born on June 3, 1952 in Otero County, New Mexico, to the late Albert F. Oleski and Geraldine Lewis Oleski.

Barbara was a strong willed and strong-minded person with a strong soul.

Always having an open heart with open doors for anyone, she was always there with compassionate care. Barb had open arms and an open heart for everyone, never meeting a stranger. Her love for people and animals was visible to all.

She loved birds of all kinds; carrying her bird feeder and birdbath everywhere she went.

Barb’s passion for dolphins evident by her surroundings. Figurines, pillowcases, her cigarette lighter, and even her bathroom toilet seat surrounded her life.

Barb even had a tattoo of a dolphin, always stating she always wanted to be a dolphin. She loved the Miami Dolphins because of their mascot.

Barb is survived by her daughter, Holli McKinnis, of Lillington, NC; a granddaughter, Keyle McKinnis, of Lillington, NC; a grandson, Kaleb McKinnis, of Lillington, NC; a great-grandson, Kyson McKinnis, of Lillington, NC.

Barb is also survived by her brother, Richard and Gail Oleski, and sons, Jared, Rick Jr., and Josh of Binghamton, NY; her best friend, Darlene Mannise, of Lillington, NC; like a son to Barb, Curtis and Angela Eleby, of Wendell, NC; and like a grandson to Barb, Chandler Adams, of Lillington, NC.

Family and friends with gather on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
