Wilma Hazel (Rusty) Mauldin Stokely, 93, died peacefully on June 26th. She was a loving wife, mother, and registered nurse. She was born March 27, 1921, in Albermarle, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Albermarle High School. She attended Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC. She served as a US Army nurse during WWII, where she met and married her husband, Ed Stokely. They were happily married for 62 years. She returned the love of being a working nurse several times while raising a family. She was an avid gardener, and a golfer. Rusty was a role model for kindness, caring, and nurturing to all who knew her. She was the wife of Edwin E Stokely, who preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by five children, Patricia Krogmann, Linda Susan Stokely, John Edwin Stokely, Sarah Judith Nann Stokely, and David Cleveland Stokely. Additionally she is survived by eleven grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Funeral Arrangements through Moss Feaster.
