Glenn was the loving husband of Audrey, who predeceased him in 2018. He was the much-loved father of Stu and Elizabeth (Bob). Glenn will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Maggie (Siobhan) and Cassandra McMurray, Patrick Kendry Jackson, Andrew (Stacey) and Christopher Jackson, Laurie (Pete) Cocking, Kelena Medeiros, and Bryson Borsellino. Each and every one of Poppa’s grandkids were his pride and joy. Poppa Glenn was great-grandpa to Nikki (Chris) and Christopher Kendry, Abbey (Sam) and Katie Cocking, Amelia and Anabelle Jackson, and great-great-grandpa to Owen Bevan.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents John and Astrid McMurray, brother Edward, sister Barbara, son-in-law Tim Kendry, and grandson Timmy Kendry.
Glenn grew up in Kirkland Lake, Ontario where he excelled in playing hockey and football. He loved his hometown and returned as often as possible for the reunions held there. Glenn was also proud to have raised his family in the valley town of Dundas; where he worked as the town Treasurer before retiring in 1995. Glenn enjoyed his time spent at the Dundas Legion and will be missed at his usual spot where he sat to enjoy a beer and bullshit with the gang.
Please join the family for a combined Celebration of Glenn and Audrey’s lives at the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 36, 280 King Street West, Dundas in the Wentworth Room, on Monday, December 2nd from 2 – 4 pm. Glenn disliked formality and having to dress up; so please come dressed comfortably.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Dundas Legion – Branch 36 Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family.
