It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Ernest Ridgway, known as Ted to most, who passed away surrounded in love by his family, at his residence in Hamilton on April 14, 2025. Born on December 21, 1938, in Toronto, Ontario, Ted was many things to many people: a loving son, devoted father, a proud grandfather, brother, uncle, father-in-law, husband, and a loyal friend. (he cherished the many special friendships that he made in Goderich over the past 20 years, and throughout his life) His life was enriched by his passions - especially golf and billiards, with a particular love for snooker. He had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor. He never passed up the chance to tell a good joke or spin a memorable tale.
Those who knew Ted will remember his warmth, his laughter, and the stories that brought so much joy. He will be loved, cherished, and remembered always by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
You are now forever in our hearts and memories.
