Peacefully and quietly at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 9, 2011 after a long courageous battle against leukemia. Beloved wife, best friend and soul mate of Murray for 61 years. Loving mom of Valerie Sagar (Randy), and Jim (Claire). Cherished grandma of Shauna, Lauren, Shelby, and Derek. Dear sister of Donald Nye (Joyce), Larry Nye (Joan), and Louise Crossman (predeceased Don 2005), and sister-in-law to Lorraine and Leon Shakotko. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, the Red Hatter’s , extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lauren Woods, Dr. Brian Leber and to all of the doctors and nurses at Juravinski Cancer Centre and Hospital, and Princess Margaret Hospital for all of their compassion and care. A Celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 195 King St W., Dundas, on Monday, December 19, 2011 with visitation from 10 am until time of Service in the Chapel at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
