Edna A. Thompson Kuras

She was born September 7, 1909 in Lawler, Iowa to Thomas and Soneva Thompson. On August 30, 1932 Edna married

Joseph Peter Kuras. Edna enjoyed gardening, baking and needlework, but most important to her, was caring for her family.

During the 1960-1970's, Edna was co-owner and operator of the Plaza Motel, where she made many acquaintances throughout the city.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Joe on January 25, 1956; her parents; and ten siblings.

She is survived by her children, Ray (Violet), of Proctor and Barbara (Pat) O’Hara, of Duluth; seven grandchildren, Tom (Denise) O'Hara, Nancy (Bill) Wagner, Kim O'Hara, Sandi (Rich) Skoglund, Joe Kuras, Larry (Bonnie) Kuras and David (Tracy) Kuras; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation from 11:00am until the 12:00noon funeral service Wednesday, January 26th at Hermantown Community Church, 4880 Maple Grove Road, Hermantown. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
