Carol J. Elliott

Carol was born on May 15, 1950 to parents Ann and Clyde Antonick in Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from Tucson High in 1968 and moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend The Ohio State University. After graduating with a degree in physical education, she went on to obtain a nursing degree from Mount Carmel School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Nursing from Capital University, and later a Master of Nursing from Otterbein University. She dedicated her life’s work to nursing in the emergency department for over 25 years and was later involved with disaster planning for Ohio hospital systems and Public Health initiatives. After retirement, Carol enjoyed being in the company of her family and friends, reading novels, and spending time outside on her deck with plenty of coffee.

Carol was married for 42 years to Larry Elliott and raised five children together. She was mother to and survived by her children, Mark Elliott, Amy (Evert) Smith (Nathanael Smith), Jessica Evert, Katie (Elliott) Gade (David Gade), and Chris Elliott (Suzette Elliott). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Bethany Elliott (7), Mia Becher (11), Holden Smith (4), Vera Smith (10), Ella Jenveja (15), Joss Hoyem (9), Marit Hoyem (21), Greer Hoyem (23), Marin Gade (10), McKenna Gade (5), Payton Elliott (11), and Braden Elliott (9). She is also survived by her brother Bill Antonick, sister-in-law Sue Antonick, niece Abby Antonick, and predeceased by nephew Bryan Antonick.

Calling hours will be held at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio, 43017 on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH, 43017 on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am followed by the burial service at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio, 43119. In lieu of flowers, contributions made to The James Cancer Hospital, would be appreciated.
