Marlene M. Poole

Born on April 27, 1943 in DuBois, PA; a daughter of the late Paul and Myrtle (Harris) Joyce.

Marlene was a waitress at Maple Leaf Restaurant until her retirement.

She was Catholic by faith. She enjoyed travel, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, and loved dogs very much, including her dog Cocoa.

Marlene was active in the American Legion, VFW, Ladies Auxiliary, and proud sponsor of the Sandy Club. She was very active in the community and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include son, Fred Powers, Jr. and his wife Tina J. Powers; daughter, Christine Schory; four grandsons: Justin Powes, Dalton Powers, Cody Schory, and Kyle Schory; great-granddaughter, Evonna JoAnn Powers; and brother, Bob Joyce and his wife Joyce. She was further survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses; and two brothers: Paul Joyce and Tom Joyce.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 2:00pm with Chaplain Francis Romeo officiating.

The family would like to invite everyone for a time of fellowship and luncheon at the American Legion, 315 Liberty Blvd, DuBois, PA 15801, directly after the memorial service.
