Ms. Mary Eileen Dowd, age 75, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on March 19, 2020—her 75th birthday. She was born March 19, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a loving mother and grandmother to Myka. She loved gardening, being outside, and all animals. Ms. Dowd was a member of the Master Gardeners of Douglas County. She was Catholic by faith.
Ms. Dowd was preceded in death by her parents, James W. and Mary Hale; son, Michael Dowd; brother, James Hale; and sister, Patricia Payne.
She is survived by her daughter, Corinne Dowd of Douglasville, Georgia; one granddaughter, Myka Dowd; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private gathering, funeral service and burial. No public service is planned at this time.
