Judy Ann Wade Celeski, age 71, of Buford, Georgia, formerly of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024. She was born June 4, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama, was a 1970 graduate of Douglas County High School and later in life received her BS in Nursing. Family was foremost in Judy’s life—she was a devoted military wife to her husband of 39 years, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her grandchildren. As a Special Forces wife, Judy had an opportunity to travel worldwide. An excellent nurse, Judy had a stellar nursing career spanning many years specializing in oncology and Med Surg. She was a talented artist specializing in charcoals, portraits and landscapes. Judy created visions on canvas that will be treasured forever.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 39 years, Joseph Celeski; her parents, Bobby Mack and Mary Ann (Veitch) Wade; and her beloved sister, Gini Lynn Wade.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rebecca Ann Hahn (Tim); son, Bryan Strickland (Carrie); grandchildren, Jonathan Strickland, Katelyn Ann Wise (Bryson Bonta) and Savannah Jo Ann Wise (Ethan Lawson); great-grandchildren, Valentine Strickland and Ulysses Strickland; as well as numerous other relatives. Judy was a bright light in the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family is planning a private service for Judy at a later time.
