Helen Adele Busby Gray, age 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born June 17, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia. Helen was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Helen was a school bus driver in Douglas County Schools for years. She and her husband loved traveling to casinos. Helen enjoyed watching Family Feud and Court TV. She loved her flowers and sitting on her porch watching the birds. She loved her fur babies and had a soft spot in her heart for all animals.
Preceding her in death are her parents, William Lawrence and Annie Claire (Whittington) Busby; a brother, Steve Busby; and a sister, Susan Mullinax.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 46 years, Tom Gray; son, David Gray (Lori); daughter, Donna Hancock (Shawn); grandchildren, Justin Gray, Ashley Logsdon, Kylie Marrero, Kaleb Hubbard and Katelyn Hancock; great-grandchildren, Macy, Emma and Kinley; as well as other extended family members, a host of friends, and all the children she served on her bus routes.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Billy Wallace officiating. Following the service, Helen will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
