Frank Marvin Brooks Sr.

Frank was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 4, 1940, the son of the late Jewell Brooks and the late Elizabeth Griffin Brooks. He worked on the Colonial Pipeline for most of his career. In his later years, Frank worked as a heavy equipment operator with the Union Local 926. Frank was a man of many talents; he could carve anything out of wood, he was quite the jokester, loved to visit yard sales, and watch western movies. Frank enjoyed working on his backhoe and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Frank was a devoted family man and he took care of his wife for the last fifteen years of her life.

His children, Rosa Lee Smith, Mary Lee Sealock, Frank Marvin Brooks, Jr. (Tina), Mike Brooks (Beth), Teddy William Brooks (Tammy), Melissa Lee Brooks Fernander (Calvin); grandchildren, Scott, William, Chris Smith, Brody, Clint Sealock, Frankie Brooks, Rana Brooks McAlister, Trey Brooks, Kayla, Brittany Brooks, Morgan Brooks Poss, Teddy Brooks, Jr., Mallory Brooks Vera and Amber Sanders-Thompson; siblings, Gene Holloway, Bonnie Brooks (Freeman), Sue Holloway-Perreault, Billy Holloway,Tony Holloway; twenty-two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild survive him.

In addition to his parents, Jewell and Elizabeth Brooks, his wife, Opal Elizabeth Ramsey, son, Dennis J. Brooks, son-in-law, Randy Smith, and granddaughter, Kristin Brooks precedes Frank in death.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home. The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the interment to follow the service at Rosehaven Cemetery.
